Spruce Kitchen Cloths

$8.50 inc. GST

These super absorbent cloths are wonderful for washing up, wiping, cleaning and polishing. Meaning you can now say ‘No’ to plastic sponges, polyester cloths and paper towels!

Made from 100% natural and renewable materials: cellulose blended with cotton, these cloths are 100% biodegradable and home compostable.

Spruce Cloths soften when wet and can absorb 15 x it’s weight!  They dry fast so they don’t breed bacteria or smell.  This makes them the premier cloth for use in the kitchen.

Spruce Cloths are designed to last you 9-12 months.  Some have even been known to last as long as 2 years!  And once you are done, simply pop it into your compost bin.  They will compost in approximately 5 weeks.

Other uses include kitchen cleanup, bathroom scrubbing, streak free windows, mirrors and glassware, polish silverware without abrasion, dusting, pet messes, car cleaning and more.  They are ideal to line the bottom of pot plants to soak any overwatering too.

Why choose Green Collective?

Green Collective is working hard to help reduce the amount of waste going to landfill.  Each Spruce Cloth replaces 15 rolls of paper towels, saving you money and reducing landfill waste.  They are on a mission to  reduce the tons of old dishcloths and paper towels from finishing up in landfill each year.

The Green Collective are also very proud to have no additional packaging on their spruce cloths.  They are NOT individually wrapped, meaning even less waste being produced.

Green Collective likes to support its local Nelson artists, and have collaborated with Belle Hawk, Clouds of Colour, Moore Design and Plum Jam Design to bring you some original art to brighten up your kitchen.

Caring for your Spruce Cloths.

Simply pop your Spruce Cloth into the washing machine, or onto the top rack of the dishwasher.

Don’t use softeners as these can break down the natural fibres.

If it ends up in your dryer it will look crinkled and shrunk, but don’t worry – wet it and it will return to shape, however long term use of the dryer will shorten it’s life.

If you wish to seriously sterilise your Spruce Cloth, ensure it is WET and place into the microwave for 2 minutes. Take care removing as it will be very hot!

You can use the cloth with or without cleaning products. Harsh cleaning products will not remove the print colour. Hot, soapy water will remove traces and smells from most of the sauces, spills and kitchen accidents.

Don’t forget the benefits of hanging the cloth out in the sunshine and let mother nature work her wonders.
