Did you know... beeswax has natural antimicrobial properties? This helps to keep your food fresher for longer and makes cleaning them an easy task.
What are Beeswax Wraps?
Think of them as plastic wrap, but instead of plastic, they're made from a sheet of cotton covered in a special blend of beeswax to make the fabric a little bit tacky so that it sticks to your bowls/plates or to itself.
The special blend is made from a mix of beeswax, tree resin and jojoba oil, giving you the perfect coating, that'll do the job well and last as long as possible.
How Do You Use Beeswax Wraps?
You'll want to make sure that you have the right size for the job. The beauty of beeswax wraps, is you only need just enough, not metres each time.
If you're covering a large bowl or plate, make sure that you have enough to cover your food, plus a little extra to overhang the rim. Simply wrap and then use the warmth from your hands to stick the wrap to the bowl/plate.
If you're covering an item of food directly, you'll need enough to fully wrap your item plus a little extra to overlap. Wrap your food just like a present and fold over the edges, sticking the wrap to itself to seal your food in.
