The Perfect Alternative To Synthetic Sponges

💚 Multi Purpose - These Swedish Spruce dish cloths can be used in so many ways; washing dishes, cleaning up spills, wiping down tables or bench-tops, cleaning mirrors and windows, pet messes, car cleaning and more! They are safe for all surfaces including marble, glass, wood, stainless steel and tile. They are super soft when wet giving you scratch-free cleaning.

💚 Super Absorbent - Made from a special patented blend of natural cellulose and cotton, these dish cloths can absorb up to 20 times their own weight in liquid. That beats any synthetic sponge!

💚 Reusable - Designed to be long lasting, these cleaning cloths can be machine washed over 200 times! Use, rinse and then pop them into the dishwasher or washing machine ready to reuse again.

💚 Easy To Clean - Wash in the washing machine or dishwasher for simple cleaning. The cloths can be hung to dry or left in the drying rack next to your sink. They dry fast so they don’t breed bacteria or smell.

💚 Artist Designed Prints - We love the bright and bold prints on these cleaning cloths. Have different prints for different purposes to ensure your pet cloth doesn't get mixed up with your dishes cloth.

💚 Home Compostable - As these cleaning cloths are made from 100% natural materials, (even the ink is water based) it means that at the end of their usable life they can be composted at home, or buried in your garden.

Are you ready to ditch those bacteria harbouring plastic sponges for some artist designed zero-waste spruce cloths?

How Long Do These Spruce Swedish Dish Cloths last?

Typically about 12 months, but we have known some to last 2 years.
A note about compostability - Don't worry, just because they are compostable it doesn't mean they break down quickly with day to day use. These cloths can be cleaned in the washing machine or dishwasher time and time again and they won't even begin to break down. They need the bugs and bacteria in a compost bin or the soil to begin the breakdown process.

What are Spruce Dish Cloths made out of?

Spruce cloths are made from a special patented blend of natural cellulose blended with cotton. That makes them 100% biodegradable and home compostable.  Hip hip hooray for zero-waste living!

How To Care For Your Spruce Dish Cloths.

To clean simply pop your cloths into the washing machine, or onto the top rack of the dishwasher.
Handy tip: Don't use softeners as these can break down the natural fibres.

If your cloth ends up in the dryer it will look crinkled and shrunk, but don't worry, just wet it again and it will return to its usual size and shape.

If you want to seriously sterilise your Spruce Cloth, ensure it is WET and place into the microwave for 2 minutes.
Take care removing as it will be very hot!

You can use the cloth with or without cleaning products. Harsh cleaning products will not remove the print colour. Hot, soapy water will remove traces and smells from most of the sauces, spills and kitchen accidents.

Don't forget the benefits of hanging the cloth out in the sunshine and let mother nature work her wonders.

Why choose a Green Collective Product?

Green Collective is a woman-led Kiwi brand working hard to help reduce the amount of waste going to landfill.  Each Spruce Cloth replaces 15 rolls of paper towels, saving you money and reducing landfill waste.  Green Collective are on a mission to reduce the tons of old dishcloths and paper towels from ending up in landfill year after year.

The Green Collective are also very proud to have no additional packaging on their spruce cloths.  They are NOT individually wrapped, meaning even less waste being produced. Wahoo!

The team over at Green Collective also likes to support its local Nelson artists, and have collaborated with Belle Hawk, Clouds of Colour, Moore Design and Plum Jam Design to bring you some original art to brighten up your kitchen.
