    Caring For Your My Cup

Before using any menstrual cup for the first time you will need to boil it in hot water for 3-5 minutes. You can do this in a saucepan or in the microwave.

You also need to do this before and after each period.

During your period simply empty any blood into the toilet, rinse in fresh water and then re-insert.  Easy!

You could also use some Cup-Wash once a day to ensure that your cup stays clean.  Rinse thoroughly with clean water before re-inserting each time.

If you’re out and about and don’t have access to fresh clean water, try Lunette’s specially designed Cup Wipes.

How My Cups Are Good For The Earth And Your Bank Balance

Did you know that by simply switching from using tampons to a my cup you could save 53kg of CO2 emissions from being produced?  As well as 39.5kg of waste from landfills and up to $2400 from purchasing single-use products.

These figures are astonishing and one of the reasons you should make the switch to reusable menstrual products.

    Why choose My Cup?

My Cup are a New Zealand owned and operated business.  They manufacture their menstrual cups right here in New Zealand supporting our local economy.  They also take great care to ensure that every part of their business is as eco-friendly as possible and they use responsibly sourced cardboard for their boxes and only print using vegetable inks.  Their cotton bags are made using certified organic cotton and even their instructions are printed on recycled paper.

They also supports several community initiatives including The Good Fund, to help reduce period poverty here in NZ.

Oh Hanna, I'm so sorry to hear of your predicament with the My Cup. I hope it wasn't too much stress for you. You're not the first, and I'm sure you won't be the last, (not just with this particular cup, all menstrual cups) I highly recommend this facebook group.... https://www.facebook.com/groups/1425498001035771 It's private so only people within the group see your comments, but it was really great when I started using my cup for tips and tricks. Also great to know you're not the only one having trouble. Whether you're keen to give it another go... or not right now... it's great to hear from other women and their experiences. I hope that is a little helpful. Kelly

      Great cup! Excellent service!

I love this cup because its slightly wider but shorter than some other cups, but still manages to hold more fluid. Being clear, it was easier to see how much fluid was in the cup while I was tracking my flow to see if my flow is as heavy as I thought. Kelly however made all the difference - being reachable to help me 'troubleshoot'. She gave me some awesome tips that changed the whole cup wearing experience for me! Thank you Kelly!
